Welcome

Michelle and Nate.....Married!

There was no shortage of awesome details in regards to this wedding! I was thrilled last year when Michelle contacted me to photograph her wedding for Labor Day 2011. Michelle is an interior designer so the touches of class and attention to details of this special occasion were in full bloom! I had a wonderful time photographing this most special occasion. Nate has alot of family from out of town so as a result they reserved over 30 rooms at the fabulous and historic Partridge Inn located in the swanky and historic "Hill" area of Augusta. It doesn't stop there. We were able to secure the penthouse suite to photograph the couple and their "first look" at one another atop the Partridge Inn on the balcony overlooking the City of Augusta. The views were breathtaking and their meeting there to see each other for the first time was very special. After a few photographs with Michelle and Nate, bridesmaids and parents, we then made our way downtown to the industrial and historic Enterprise Mill located on the Augusta Canal where the couple would wed in the courtyard. Following their heartfelt ceremony, a grand reception with an incredible three piece band called the Unmentionables jammed their way into the night to tunes like Sir Mix A Lot's "Baby Got Back"...now, trust me, if you haven't seen an olde time bass player kick it to this melody...you haven't lived. If you were there....you know what I'm talking about. I was floored to say the least. I had a blast!!! I hope these photographs show how fun and meaningful this occasion was. Before we start, here's the day's lineup:

Bridal Salon: David's Bridal
Venue and Caterer: Enterprise Mill and Fat Man's Mill Cafe
Flowers: Brent Slage
Band: The Unmentionables (Facebook page)
Cupcakes: Sarah Saint Hamilton
Hotel Accommodations: The Partridge Inn

Now, on to the photos!

I just love the elephants....I also love that they stand for Nate's conservative Republican stance, among other things!

The photo to the right is a Liberty Bell cake....it weighed over 40 pounds and was hand made specially for the Bride and Groom ...AMAZING!
Fat Man's Cafe pulls out all the stops with their creativity from the hilarious "unsouthern tea" to the duckling squash figurines. Fat Man's holds a special place in my heart from childhood. If you're from this area you know what I mean. I'm glad to see them live on in this way.

This last photo is my absolute favorite! :)
Michelle and Nate, thank you ever so much from the bottom of my heart for having me to photograph and be a part of your special day. It was a pleasure for me to experience this with you. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and pray that God will bless your marriage in every way possible. I hope these photographs were all that your heart's desired.  Thank you again. ~Heather

Gorgeous work, Heather! You captured many of the fun details Michelle and Nate had planned for the big event, as well as the love and that jovial spirit they both share. Thanks for the great work!
